Child Protection / Safeguarding
Scouting has comprehensive national procedures in place to help keep your child safe while they enjoy their Scouting.
The “Safe and Sound” leaflet (below) has been produced by The Scout Association to explain to parents what our procedures are.
The adults at 32nd (and elsewhere within UK Scouting) follow the Child Protection guidelines of The Scout Association, these are summarised on the “yellow card” (below).
Adult Leaders undergo an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (previously the Criminal Records Bureau) when appointed and at five yearly intervals, in addition to other checks and controls put in place by The Scout Association.
